LAHORE (Web Desk) - The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that South Africa Women’s Under-19 team will tour Pakistan for the first time in July to play a five-match T20 series against the hosts.
According to the PCB, the series will be played at Karachi’s National Bank Stadium from July 14 to July 24. Match timings will be announced at a later date.
The visiting team is scheduled to arrive in Karachi on July 10 and will take part in training sessions at the National Bank Stadium from July 11 to July 13 ahead of the series.
The opening match of the five-game series will be played on July 14, while the remaining fixtures are scheduled for July 17, 19, 22 and 24.
The PCB said the series will provide valuable preparation for Pakistan Women’s Under-19 team ahead of this year’s ACC Women’s Under-19 T20 Asia Cup and the ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to take place next year.
Pakistan Women’s Under-19 side last played a bilateral T20 series against Bangladesh, where they secured a 3-2 victory in the five-match contest.
The board also noted that its Women’s Cricket Department recently organized training camps in Karachi for Under-19 players as part of preparations for upcoming international competitions.
